Greg Maxwell, AIA, APT, NCARB

I am a preservation architect with ten years of experience in the architecture and preservation fields. I studied architecture at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 2015. While there, I studied in Barcelona, Rome, and Siena, and developed a great appreciation for the diversity of architecture and layers of history in cities. In 2021, I graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania Weitzman School of Design with a Master of Science in Historic Preservation degree . My degree concentration was preservation design and I supplemented my academic work as a Research Fellow at the Center for Architectural Conservation. While there, I gained experience working at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin and at several National Park Service sites including Fort Union National Monument, Pecos National Historical Park, Tuzigoot National Monument, and Catoctin Mountain Park. I presented some of my graduate research at the annual conference for the American Institute for Conservation (AIC) in May 2022.

I joined Harboe Architects in January 2022 to contribute to their work preserving and restoring significant built heritage, including buildings designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. I am energized by participating in such meaningful work and I have learned so much.

I am a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and I hold my National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Certificate. I was named a John G. Thorpe Fellow in 2022 by the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy and I now serve on the Board of Directors. I am a member of the Association for Preservation Technology (APT) and DOCOMOMO.
